Having the ability to carry off the white dress is a gift. It’s not just having a pretty white dress – it will look so much better on some than on others. But it’s what you bring to your dress. The iconic Marilyn Monroe brought out the disheveled playfulness of this white dress, and a womanly-girly sexiness to it, too. True, women of color tend to look more beautiful in white. But Marilyn Monroe brings more than character to her dress – she adds the red lipstick and red nail polish, too.
